On Sunday I went to the Twenty8twelve Fall 2010 fashion collection at a stunning venue in London, 2 Temple Place. I was so hung over that I could not stay around for the collection presentation. Pictures are below of what I missed, so gutted!!!

Alexander the Great
Today the British Fashion Industry is morning the loss of one of it's most innovative stars. I rememeber when studying at St Martins and feeling that I didn't quite fit in and my tutor at the time saying 'look at McQueen, he is from the East End of London and look what he has produced and become' That thought always stayed with me and still does even to this day! He was a great inspriration to me and proved that no matter your background you could become a great designer! Below are some of my favourite McQueen pieces from the Spring / Summer 2005 collection. He will be truely missed!

Stars and Stripes
Following on from the Rika theme of Stars, the Fashion Designer, Annett Olivieri who I used to design fashion prints for was also known for her use of the star symbol. Star shapes would be punched into leather which were then turned into 1970's inspired satchel bags and appliqued stars would also be used to decorate suede and leather handbags. The star shape chads were then used as sequins to adorn silk jersey tops. Graphic prints were always a signature of Annett's collections here are a couple of examples.
