I went to see The September Issue this week at the cinema with a couple of friends. Loved Loved Loved it, I thought Grace Coddington was particularly brillant, funny and inspiring!
So it's the end of the S/S10 fashion shows and what a month it has been. Not only has the fashion on the catwalks been amazing but also the oufits worn to the shows. Here are a few pictures of some of the styling seen in the fashion capitals.

For Milan Fashion week Prada, Pucci and Versace were the most exciting collections for me. See below for some of their collection images. As my back ground is printed textiles naturally I am loving the seaside prints used at Prada and sexy is back with a bang at Versace, Pucci although referenced Balmain like silhouettes the collection was fresh even though the prints for this collection were limited. With only Paris Fashion week to go I'm looking forward to seeing how they will close this seasons of round shows.

My new style icon is the gorgeous Alexa Chung. I love the way she mixes up her hobo style with a London street edge vibe using British designers such as Luella Bartley, Burberry and Mulberry. She first hit our screens on T4;s pop world, now she has her own US TV show for MTV 'It's on with Alexa Chung'.
The Ablum of the week is Imogen Heap's - Ellipse. I first heard Imogen's music on the US TV hit show THE OC and have been hooked ever since. Her second ablum is now available to down load.
Last Wednesday I visited my Fashion Designer friend Zakee Shariff at Beyond the Valley. Zakee was launching her A/W 09 print/fashion collection which she designed for Roxy Heart. The collection was beautiful my favourite piece was a printed blouse inspired by Zakee's art work searching for light. The shop at the Bluebird, Supra girls, No-one and Beyond the Valley are among the few exclusive boutiques stocking this colourful range.
I am loving Stella McCartney's advertising campaign for A/W. It is sexy as well as been cute at the same time, what a great idea to use the Bambi characters.
I bought the Evening Standard newspaper tonight and the ES Magazine is advertising the exclusive luanch of Marc Jacobs new perfum Lola. To celebrate this exclusive launch in Harvey Nichols, they have created a complimentary Lola-inspired cocktail to be served to the first 100 customer to buy the 100ml version of the fragrance. Hurray ladies an offer not to be missed, available from the 1st August 09.
I have just been watching London based Fashion designer, Vivienne Westwood on Jonathon Ross. I have been inspired and moved by Vivienne, being in such a materialistic industry it's amazing to hear someone of her status passionate about such an important issue as climate change. This is also an issue close to my heart too, Vivienne urged us to join Prince Charles Rainforest Project, which I have signed up to and encourage you to do the same. I have been lucky enough to visit the amazon so I know first hand what a special and irreplacable role in which it plays in maintaining the health of our planet!
I am loving the jewllery by Annina Vogel. I had a gold charm bracelet as a kid and it's great to see that Annina is recycling old gold victorian charms into modern keepsake piece's. Here are a few examples of her work below:
Today I was out and about in London doing store visits. I popped into one of my favourite London lifestyle stores Couverture. They are currently celebrating all things that are cool from New York. They are showcasing a selection of individual labels all hailing from the big apple, together with an array of orginal gifts bearing the iconic seventies I HEART NEW YORK logo.
Yesturday I popped to the pub to watch the Wimbledon Mens Final, Roger Federer V Andy Rodick. What an incrediable match it turned out to be! Congratualtions to Roger a true champion and an amazing player!
I have been a fan of Fiona Rae artwork for a few years now. I saw her work at the Sensation exhibition back in 1997. The thing's I liked most about Fiona's artwork was the way she mixes bold graphics with colur and the textures in which she creates with the paint. Here are a few of my favourite paintings below:
I was shocked to hear of the news of Michael Jackson. I wasn;t his biggest fan I have to admit. But the music in which he created was truley iconic and touched all ages. Michael inspired so many people both musically and in regards to Fashion. Balmain in there last two collections have used strong references to his wardrobe. The image below is one of my favourite of him and it brings back fond memories of an amazing Michael Jackson era.
Below are some of my favourite outfits from the show me your wardrobe website. I like them because they are styles that I would wear, simple looks but cool at the same time.
